The Guardians of Martock Church, Concert in All Saints' Church

Roger Mark's Cornish Armada Jazz Band

Thursday, 19th October 2017 at 7.30 p.m.

Roger Marks has been leading his Armada Jazz Band on trombone for many years in the West Country and on overseas trips, but many of the original players no longer wish to travel and just meet once per month at a venue in Honiton. So Roger formed his "Cornish" version of the band some years ago and they gave a very well received concert in Martock Church in 2015 and were voted the best of all the eighteen traditional jazz bands that had played in Martock up till then.. The Guardians of Martock Church are delighted that they have agreed to return. They will play a range of popular tunes composed between 1861 and 1944 including The Battle Hymn of the Republic; My Gal Sal; Oh! How I Miss you Tonight; Happy Days are Here Again; I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles and the catchy Jazz Standard Burgundy St Blues.

Tickets £9.00 on the door or £8.00 from Martock News, Martock Gallery or 01935 822706.

Accompanied children aged under 16 will be admitted free.
